  1. wtb: hood and maybe bumper for vr/vs

    Posted 31 Jan 2011

The paint is all crazed and shitty on my vs on hood so I'm on search of a maroon colored hood in tidy condition.

Also after a front bar as well as mine has quite a few stone chips
If I can't find either or get them cheap enough I will spray myself.

    Launceston but may travel

  2. FS: 2000 Mitsubishi Magna TJ

    Posted 27 Nov 2009

The Magna is officially up for sale! Great car, lots of fun and quite fast for a standard auto v6! My only reason for selling is that i want a manual ride and i really want another Commodore.

    Interior Modifications

Overall this car is in great condition, no problems at all. I changed plugs and oil around 6000k's ago and have been running Castrol Edge for past 15,000k's. Also replaced noisy lifters. Car has been completely fitted with black VRX interior, VRX side and rear skirts and also a set of Speedy Lite-9's. It also has a Ground Effect front lip, Ralliart spoiler and Verada grille and headlights.

Great car to drive and a real head turner for a Magna. Pick the kids up from school with style!

    Looking at around $5800 ono.

    Located in Launceston, TAS.

    Cheers,
    Dan

  3. WTB: Manual Commdore

    Posted 27 Nov 2009

Hey all. On the look out for a manual commodore. After one in tidy condition in either v6 or v8 (v6 is looking more in budget), preferbly in Tassie only and sedan only.

My only downfall is my budget, i can only spend upto $4500 at this stage due to paying other things off.
  4. Opinions needed

    Posted 17 Nov 2009

Okay, basically at the moment i'm driving a 2000 Mitsubishi Magna, its a 4spd auto and there seems a lack of affordable 'parts' available for it.

I previously had a VR Exec in auto which i've missed having for ages (current owner has run it to the ground and it looks like anus now) and i am now looking at getting another Commodore. I'd love a V8, i've looked at a few SS's but most have had high mileage or in rugged condition. Really i'm after more power and a manual.

A 1995 VS Exec in 5spd manual has become available to me, apparently in immaculate condition and their after $4000ono. Just wondering what i should do. I want a V8 but i honestly don't think i can afford to run/look after one.

How much is the VS worth really? To me its how much im willing to pay, now might be my only chance for a manual to come by for this price for a while. I have a small debt to pay off as well so i'm thinking maybe get this VS and pay my debt off, that way i can afford to do work on the VS.

    Opinions?
  5. Fitting 6x9 in VX parcel shelf

    Posted 6 Jul 2009

Just wondering, what is the best way to fit a set of 6x9's into a rear parcel shelf of a VX Commodore?

Do i just cut off the standard rear door speaker cable and solder on a new lead to the parcel shelf or am i best to remove the headunit and centre console? How hard is it to remove the centre console?

Do i need to remove the rear parcel shelf carpet and knock the speaker cut-outs out? Do i need to drill holes to fit the speakers?
