Member & Their Car Picture
Posted 7 Oct 2008
Yes I know we have tried this once before and ended up with pictures of Goughy the black stick man in an orange tracksuit but what say we try again...
I have been a member of this club pretty much since the beginning and I gotta say, I walked around the pits at the drags and I was lost as to who was who.
Sometimes I was able to put names to faces by watching who got into and out of what car, but that wasn't always right. Not mentioning any particular white Ute for example
I know that a lot of people know me and come up to say gday, me being me chat away and when we are finished think to myself, "top person, knows their stuff/whatever, Who the hell are they??"
So how about we wack up a picture, doesn't have to be anything flash, just something to put some faces to the names?? Lets try and keep all the chit chat to some other thread and only have one post per person in here?? Unless management have issues in which case this thread will be shut down and deleted and we can all go on winging it at events.
I will start with about the only pic I can still find of both me and one of my cars.

ViPec ECU
Posted 22 Sep 2008
Looking at an aftermarket ECU for the Skyline when it gets here.
Most places have simply said to go the good old Apexi Power FC route.
While that's good as there will always be plenty of people out there who can help with tuning and issues that may arise I am after something a little more modern.
Now before anybody flames me and says go look on the Skylines Aust Forums or something similar...
I already have, that's where I found out about these.
What I am interested in is talking to somebody I know rather than a stranger on a foreign forum.
Apparently Fuel-tech are authorised agents for the ViPec ECU and capable of tuning them.
Yes I have sent off an email to ask them about them but am still waiting on a reply.
Anybody here used them or had any experience with them??
They are available for pretty much all Jap imports and also a good number of Aussie cars as well as European vehicles as well.
From what I can see they are fairly well designed (Australian designed and built I should add) and boast some high end capabilities.
Selectable Fuel Tables, umpteen Dozen Safety measures (RPM Limits dependant on Oil Pressure, Coolant Temp, Outside Air Temp), Soft and Hard Cut limiter, Launch Control, Anti-Lag, Traction Control, Boost Control, Flat Shift, Knock Control and Data Logging to name a few.
So, anybody able to shed some more light?? Share some experiences??
In case anybody else is interested...

Are we getting some action cause of C4C5
Posted 1 Sep 2008
Are we getting an increase on here cause of the cruise and its coverage??
Just noticed that we had over 315 users online, and they were looking all over the forums as well, not just the board index as usual... -

Most of you would have seen and heard this vehicle at some stage and seen how it is still able to draw a crowd in its present condition.
I will be sad to see it go and can only hope that it goes to another good home.
I have not listed a price as I honestly believe that if you need to ask then its no doubt more than you expect.
Edit:

I am happy to provide further details or pictures to genuine enquiries.
I am also happy for prospective purchasers to inspect the vehicle. I am located in Burnie.

These are some older pics that I have already uploaded to photo-bucket.
Please excuse the lack of recent pics but being on dial-up makes it rather tiresome to upload.

Cat Breeders!!
Posted 30 Jun 2008
I realise that this probably could have gone under the wanted to buy section but its more than simply wanting to buy a cat.
I am looking for somebody who can point me in the direction of some local cat breeders. And not your neighbour who has forty cats running wild in the front yard.
I am after a Burmilla, British Shorthair, Siberian Forest Cat, Bengal or similar.
Yes there are similarities between these breeds even though it may not look like it.
I need to be very clear here, I do not want a Moggie... Please don't post here about any moggies you know of. I am not interested. I am after a pure breed cat with very specific characteristics and personality traits.
We have spoken to a number of people from around the state but so far the only promising leads have all been in either Launceston or Hobart. We would prefer to find somebody local to us so we can visit and hopefully choose the right cat but will travel if need be.
So if you know somebody who does in fact breed cats then please either post here or send me some contact details via PM please. I am happy to pass on my details if they would rather not have their details passed out.
