As some of you may be aware I am a Restaurant Manager of McDonalds in Invermay and I am also a big Ambassador for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC)

This Saturday is our biggest fundraiser of the year and I thought I would just pop up a bit of information about what RMHC does and McDonalds Role in helping them.

RMHC is like a home away from home for Families with seriously ill Children for those of you who live in Hobart you would be aware that Tasmania's RMHC house is situation right across the road from the Hobart General Hospital and can house up to 10 Families at any one time, the house was opened in September of 1998 and so far has housed over 1500 families, with some families staying 10 or more times.

RMHC also offers some other fantastic ways to help these sick Children and their families for example Ronald McDonald Learning Program, Ronald McDonald Family Room, RMHC Cord Blood Bank, Ronald McDonald Family Retreats, Ronald McDonald Family Facilities and Ronald McDonald Grants.

I personally have toured through the Hobart House numerous times and seen the fantastic work they do for the families who are dealing with their Children being so ill.

McDonalds is one of the biggest Corporate Sponsers where every dollar placed in the donation tins at the stores going directly to the Hobart RMHC. This Saturday is where we step things up and try to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic Charity, this years McDonalds goal is to raise $2 Million which all goes directly to the Charity, McDonalds as a corporation pay the wages of all People employeed by the House and the Board in every State so everyone can be reassured that the money you donate goes directly to the house.

Unfortunately for Tasmania this year the V8's are held on the same day so here is where I need your help......If you can't visit a store on Saturday then can people please drop into their nearest store and donate today by buying a $2 wrist band or putting money in the donation tub. And if you are out and abouts on Saturday then pop into your nearest store buy a Big Mac ($1 from every Big Mac is donated), Buy a $2 Wrist Band or a Raffle Ticket or just donate and Remember that every dollar or cent makes a huge difference.
