Might I add though out of the 3 robberys that have occured at the launceston stores this is the second time they have been caught close by...the one that occured at my store the guy actually came back to return the money because his mate told him he was an idiot for robbing us! Mind you he gave us more back than what he took!
Put it this way you have to be a complete nuff to rob us with the security systems we have in place your face is as clear as day from about 10 different angles so it doesn't surprise me that they always get caught.....it was only the other week I had a nuff in the store causing problems and he decided to be a complete weapon and push a register off the counter and he was immediately cuffed by 4 undercover cops and arrested. I've had idiots who drive through drive thru trying to steal other peoples meals been brought back down to the store by the police to pay for the meals as I have gotten descriptions of who they were off security and their license plate numbers! So warning really...just watch what you do in McDonalds cause we are always watching you! -

my point has been made... im not a paidd up member so i have no right to have an opinion...
Plenty of females in this club that are paid up members.
I've been a member for a few years and can definately say that not everyone is interesting in what I say but I'm sure everyone can back me up when I say I don't care and I continue to talk anyway.
And that is what makes the difference in situations when you are dealing with alot of large personalities like you do in this car club.
Just because people are avoiding the forums and all the agruements that used to be attached with it doesn't mean the club isn't doing well. I think you'll find that alot of members have just grown up and grown out of the internet and prefer to deal with members face to face.
So if you are so worried about the club, come to an event, start a conversation or join in on one and don't bother pulling the female card again because it is crap and if anything these guys on here are more accepting of girls who enjoy Commodores then anyone else. -

I didn't watch the whole thing, but there was plenty of interesting discussion on the future of oil (predicted to hit $3 a litre in in the next 3-5 years), cars in general, and Government relations with car manufacturing companies.
I'd be interested to know, especially from the people on here who don't drive their cars all the time and drive the cars that are heavier on fuel (Ryan (PSI086) and Chris (GTS071) for example) - if petrol prices soar, would you consider selling your cars, or just not use them as much, or save cash in other areas to still use your cars for drags and Sunday drives?
I don't think selling the GTS is high on the priority list I'm sure we would survive with price increase of fuel...people have got to remember that when living expenses like fuel and food go up then so do peoples salaries.
Plus the GTS will be driven a little more regularly from now on with Chris taking our new car for work trips each week I'll be left with the GTS to have fun in.
