Replacing Head unit - Vt Clubby
Posted 8 May 2010
hiya guys. i have an aftermarket head unit that im looking to put into my clubby.
the cd player i have ready to put in is only a single deck rather than the double one that is in the clubsport. and isnt very expensive but will still be a MAJOR upgrade from the, more sensitive that frozen balls in winter, eurovox in there atm.
literally hitting a "cats eye" on the road skips the cd and for some strange reason turning right while accelerating seems to jump it too.. and i mean any acceleration.,. even the level you would use when there is a cop going past you. but ill see if thats a problem later.
ive never replaced a head unit before in a car but i have had it done professionally in other cars. have had this head unit in another car with no probs.
just need to know the steps and items requiredl.
i assume a crimper/ plyers/screwdriver and some spare wire and crimps?
and how to actually get the head unit out without scratching around the console...
