All good man! I should have added that the tune was corrected (this is how we know where the power/torque was lost, and regained), just wanted to bring to light the change that can be brought by a fairly simple modification to the exhaust.

After doing my L98 conversion with the cam out of my LS1, I had a 'bitsa' exhaust. Old system was a single 3" with H&M headers/twin cats that the previous owner had done to it. Sounded pretty sweet too. When the L98 went in, I traded the Crane Golds I'd only just fitted into the LS1 with the cam (L98 has offset valvetrain so couldn't chane them over) for a set of HPC coated Pacie 1 3/4 headers from a mates LS1 383 that he'd twin turbo'd. Mated those up to the single 3" to get it running. Drove pretty nice, sounded niiiiice. When I upgraded to twin 2.5 and ballistic cats, my nice slow speed 1st/2nd gear driveability went away. And I mean gone. Lost power and torque in the bottom end, but gained significantly in the mid-top end where I need it on the race track. Trade-off I'm prepared to live with.

The Hayman Reese on my VX sedan went onto a VT Wagon, but they're essentially the same car. If you can't get a definitive answer on the forums, just call up a tow bar supplier and tell them you're backtrading or bought a VX for the other half, and are wondering if you can keep the towbar off your VZ for your VX.
