well what can i say. what a meet. there were pb's being set all over the place. jon sawford in his crotina set a pb of 10.27 top effort to him glad he has that sorted. looks like the blown guys are getting there stuff sorted for tassie nats. Bad luck for tony emmerton thou with his oil problem. marcus howe definatly had his handsful in the big falcon. i had a chat with him about the car 500+ flywheel hp tough piece of machinery. top effort to ryan in the vl tough machine mate.
The hearse well what can i say that thing is a weapon. i said it yesterday and ill say it again now if ya have to goto your own funeral thatd have to be about the best way to go (unless of course the engine was a chev thatd be better lol) but how about the times. first run no gas sets new world record with 13.2 next run hits the gas bang 12.3 he wasnt happy with that so next run 12.008 i was gob smacked im thinking bloody hell its going to do a 11. sure enough we get told he wants1 last crack at it after the racing was finished. so he lines it up he told me he hit the gas a little bit earlier to go faster and boy didnt it work out!!!!1 for a new world record for the fastest legal and working hearse in the world with a 11.969 @125 mph damn thats 1 way to get to a funeral in a hurry. be the fastest funeral prosession on earth lol.
Also I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Ross O'donnel from murphy street motors. Was having a chat to him as i do with most drivers that i can find and in our conversation he said that if i could sort out a licence i could take torana for a run too in his words "cheer me up a bit" so of a trods got it all sorted and wanders back and he goes ok put ya gear on then. so had to borrow some trousers and a jumper so i coud run lol. but all good got in the car and thought to my self ok someone elses car be gentle with it. so said to ross ok so shift at around 6.5 grand short burnout and so forth he said NO good burnout shift at 7200 lol so anyways had 2 runs first was a 12.09 @110 mph
second pass was 12.05@112. certainly did help in cheerng me up. so again thanks to ross and his crew that car is a credit to him. for a little 308 with no gas certainly goes realy well and stays dead straight -
