Guys, the rules still apply. This is the 'off topic' section of the forum so threads don't need to have anything to do with cars.

I didn't delete any posts because I thought Goughy is tough enough to handle being called a rude little whatever. Other than that there aren't really any personal attacks or anything worth getting upset about IMO.

Happy to remove posts if needs be.... but would rather we take it all as a lesson in what happens with a subject like this if you don't discuss it respectfully. Both sides have strong opinions - argue about them all you want, just do it politely. So kiss and make up and let's get on with it

I'm not a fan of whaling, but I strongly disagree with the Sea Shepherd's behaviour. They put themselves in harm's way, harass the crap out of the whalers, then cry foul when their boats get rammed and busted up. It's their own silly fault. Piracy is not acceptable no matter what excuses people try to make for it.

If whaling is going to be stopped it should be done through diplomatic and legal channels, like what the government is FINALLY attempting to do. Maybe. If our esteemed leader keeps one of his many promises.
