emailed them back on the 4th of this month to see about chance of a day licence and membership to run this.
Contact to date.... zip!
Was hell keen to run the GTR round and get some base times and get a feel for it under full stick but if they cant reply to a simple email I cant be bothered turning up. Will do a private day myself instead.

No chips here, as said more than once just a friendly stir, would actually be interested to see 250rwkw in a 900kg car do a few laps...why not put an ls1 in it that would be even better to watch there was one at the nationals with one was atrick bit of gear..

Because once an LS1 is in one its no longer a 900kg car, and its certainly no longer balanced. And without extensive firewall and tunnel modifications they dont fit. And considering mine has been approved for rego as it is, Im quite happy with the 2L. I too have seen one in the 86 shell, not as friendly conversion as into an S13 or similar as body mods required are far more extensive, but yes can be done and would be neat, but at the same time ruining the areas that the 86 thrives off... balance, low-weight and that high revving 4 cylinder scream

Seeing as I have never actually driven a full lap of the track myself then just accomplishing that would be a start.
Then I suppose if I could manage something like a 1.07-1.08 I would be happy.
The car itself should be good for that, comparing it to a mates GT4 205 Celica we had out there a few weeks back.
I am more looking to just get a feel for it and see what areas I can improve rather than simply ripping into it and improving it all as others I know have done without even driving the thing first.
I know from our trip through the East Coast last weekend that I need to do something with the brakes as they have no feel or feedback at all. I actually believe that the Hatch feels better under brakes than the GTR. Sad I know but true.
Its got full Bilstein Suspension in it so I would like to see what its like at speed before I make a decision about whether it stays or not.
So a time would be good but its actually more about feeling out the car and seeing what I feel needs refining or changing.

Fair enough makes sence, i do agree 4 cylinders are a good thing and with 250rwkw it must be a serious bit of 4 cylinder at that, good luck with it ...

I wouldn't be getting rid of the Bilsteins. If you think they are stuffed, send them off to Quadrant who will be able to rebuild them and advise suitable spring rates needed.
Or get:

This club day is on a SATURDAY and is aloowed to run until dark but the competitors usually have had enought by then and gone home.

I was going to but unfortunately I am only on a basic poor persons wage and therefore couldn't afford to follow any advice he was prepared to offer me...
Stuck with sorting it all myself unfortunately.
Oh and Matty, that was the other option. Am currently looking into sorting a new set of springs to bring it a bit closer to terra firma.
