Well I'm thinking about 19s onto the stato, but a few questions first;

I like the way the suspention is, barely feel a bump in the road, how much suspention work is needed to fit 19s, and then trying to maintain the softness feel over humps ect. I don't want 19s if it's gunna sacrifice the comfort feel of the car.

Would the guards need to be rolled?

Anything else I should know, 18s fitted with out any hassle under the VN, never looked into 19s, so this is a new adventure I'd like to know what I'm in for before I dive in head first.

Maybe a stupid question, how much extra work if any, is needed in fitting 20s.

I've came across a set of 19 inch vx gts rims (replica) -
what are these worth now, second hand, one rim with small chip and needs new tyre - anything I should know about fitting these rims to my Stato?

If I was to get 18s, they will fit under with out a thing need doing, yes? Sorry about all the questions but I don't know a great deal when it comes to this area of fitting different size rims/tyres ect. Hehe.

i think youll find 19's wont fit unless you use an illegal spacer.

though i have been told that they will depending on what tyre profile you go with.

maybe have to fit vt front struts as they have a better clearance.or massage the ones you have slightly with a big a#$e hammer.

or coilovers esp. if ya wanna fit 20's.

and more than likely you will lose some ride comfort due to running a lower profile tyre on te 19's which have a stiffer sidewall and less give than a standard tyre.

Hmm, thank you.

I rang BobJane Moonah today an was speaking to Jason. He was saying 19inch VX GTS rims fit straight on, no problems. He apparently did one not long ago with out the buyer having to do anything but drive away. Sounds easy,

then again I dunno how ride height will go, will 19s jump the height of the car any, forgot to ask him lol. Do 19s jump it up a lil or stay the same--or depends on tyres or what?

sounds a lot like my rims, except for the bit about needing a new tyre :P

19's will fit perfect with completely stock suspension...
if you get yourself a hold of a set of 235/35 R19 tyres (a slightly odd size but available all the same) you'll have no strut or guard clearance issues till you get very low...

as with any size though, it all comes down to offset...
a set of rims specifically designed as a commodore fittment will fit perfectly every time... genuine and some copy rims will be perfect... most aftermarket rims (specially from local companies like Speedy, ROH, Koya etc) will fit without issue also...

just be sure that offset and tyre size are spot on though...
