I heard that the drags will be closed down by the end of the year. is there any truth in this. Perhaps its got something to do with not getting anyone turn up to there meets. Instead they have been racing overseas.
That's contradictory to what I've heard. They have a new naming rights sponsor at the track. Jaime, the new promoter, is working to change the stgma associated with drag racing at this venue and I think by next seasons opening round he will have succeeded.

Conan...what times dd it run?????
Quickest was 13.2 @174km/h in a generic flash tuned BF. The box cost me $499 with 3 generic tunes. I was happy to be running those times out of a street car with 30psi in the tyres as i drive it on the street. I makes me wonder if i could crack a 12 with a custom tune only...

thats great to hear...ill informed posts such as PROXT's spreads crap about the track and soon everyone starts believing it....and then it will fold as no-one shows up
A better rumour I have heard is that they a prepping the track for group 1...cement barriers all the way up the track as well
When was the last time you raced a Tarmac PROXT?
IMO the track needs some undercover garages/pits for competitors and some undercover veiwing areas for the spectators
discounts also given for competitors that travel to the track - ie Latrobe and higher and Ross lower a $10 discount, also discounts for competitors that prepay (not the entrance fee for the driver but cheaper for the pit crew???) cut pre reg off 2 weeks early so the track promotors have a fair idea who is running

rumour has it that it can be done...
strap on some decent rubber, or play with the tyre pressures and you'll have it with a custom tune...
the car has it there if you can shave the 60's a bit more
that mph is almost identical to my 12.999 run (108.56 on a 2.021 60')...... i think you can nail it...
and for the cash, what an awesome street car it would be with a proven 12 second slip!!!
as for this meet... i'm going out again to spectate only. i've got a good mates 21st this saturday night so i'll come during the day for a look see...
chris, when are you putting the stall in??... who's doing it for ya???...

I just ran the thing to see what it would do, so i will not play any further at the moment - the missus will kill me if i make it any faster. I am bringing the big coupe out with bigger jets and i am going to play with the timing to see if i can finally get into the 9 second zone.
