WOW... looks like the rule makers have been watching Nascar!!!

A few of them rules are a bit like modified versions of Nascar rules...

Last three races count towards championship after dropping worst round:- Nascar chase for chapionship in last 10 races (outa 30 sumfin!)

2 rattle guns... can change two tires... VERY Nascar like

50min practise time... Nearly happy hour...

Not that I see any of this being a bad thing... Keeps things new and exciting, and Nascar have been hugely popular in the states for years, so realy we should be looking towards that series for a few ideas... Just aslong as we don't start racing round bloody ovals! :P

A good start would be to open up the series for something other than Ford and Holden. Get's a slightly bit boring with the same 5 cars at the front of the grid <_<

i agree with you there 100%
let toyota and mitsubishi in...
or allow holden teams to use monaro's?
and ford teams to use... ohh s**t they don't have something like that.
ok then.

my rules......
make the holden and ford teams run the engines they use out of the factory... holdens use LS1/2, fords use them boss engines...
keep horsepower down to 600-650hp somehow and it'd be much more interesting...
then let toyota and mitsubishi in with some form of V8 engine too... toyota could use the 2UZ-FE... i'm sure that could make the required horsepower... mitsubishi... the astron 2.6 might do... ok maybe not, they would have to find, or build an 8

Both mitsu and yota could use V8's from the states... Toyota run in Nascar trucks and dodge in the main game, so being that holden and Ford engines are american based, they could do the same... bit of development, slap on EFI... and away ya go...

Umm... no, they are sponsoring PWR... not ex, it still is, it'll be called "Super Cheap Auto Racing" and will still have PWR signage aswell. the deal is for 3yrs.

Pics of the cars are on the HSV website.

Supercheap are also sponsoring Bathurst for the next 3yrs...

What I wanna know is who's gunna sponsor the ex-KRT?... apparently HSV and Holden service/spares will have significant signage on the cars for the AGP as a 1 off, or untill they sign a major backer.

I didn't get to watch much of the racing over the weekend, but it was good to see Skaife on the podium at the end of the day.... long time between drinks!

Every time I walked into the room there was a prang, must of been hardcore carnage left right and centre through the race.

Ok. Well I missed Clipsal due to TassieNats. But im sort of glad I did. F#*d one two.
Nasty!! <_<

Im not sure how my beloved GRM went, but knowing Cam McConville, they wouldnt have been too far back (knowing my luck they probably both crashed out).
They didnt finish on the podium, so they didnt do good enough.

And how confusing are the HRT/HSV teams?? Surely HSV could have painted there cars black or something. They're just too similar.
