Since the times getting close for the new season, I was thinking about getting those who are into the sport too get their veiws and all before a car has been out on the track.
I think it's a brave man that can tip against Micheal Schumacher and Ferrari, again, this season. But who will take the runner-up title? Who will be the surprise driver/team for 2005, and can SOMEone knock off Schuie?
I think the driver with the greatest chance of doing this is Kimi Raikkonen or JPM. Kimi has already established himself as a future champion and he was oh so close in 2003(Even though he had a shocker season in 2004, finishing 7th). But can McLaren have the reliablity too take him over the line?
JPM I think will blossom with McLaren, but I don't think he is as much as a threat compared too Kimi. I feel his driving has dropped off alot since his debut year, but maybe in this better car he will show his true erratic style.
BAR and Renault definatly surprised me last year, With Button (BAR) being the most surprising of the lot. Definatly cannot be over-looked contender and will win races..
..as will Alonso, I expect him too be winning races and pose a threat.
As for poor old Rubens Barrichello, expect him too win races, but don't expect him too win the championship.
As for title contenders, I think these men are the main men.
Schui
Button
Alonso
Raikkonen
JPM
And if you hoping too see Mark Webber win races, Forget it! Maybe 1 or 2 3rd places, but nothing more then that. He needs another season or 2 before that happens.
So what do you people think. Who will win, who will fail and more importantly...can someone knock off that leading red machine...please?

He well and truly proved himself last year in a god awfull car! and if Williams have there sh!t sorted Webber will be right up there with a good shot!
He's as fit, talented and determend as Micheal has EVER been!!
Anyway I rate him a good chance for the title, if the cars up to it, and I'll back him all the way!!

From what I have heard, Ferrari's 2005 car is only a touch up from the 2004 car, Jean Todt is actually talking down there chances, whilst other years he is saying no doubt, Ferrari.
Llyody, Mark needs a better team, he is just as good (IMHO) as Micheal Schumacher, but Williams need too be alot better then last year too pse a threat too the top 4.
But then, Lets ALLL cross are fingers and hope that McLaren comes home for the constructors and drivers championship...as Thorpy says..."Thats Fully Sik".
Roll on March

I reakon it's between Shumacher and Raikkonen. Webber could be a bit of a dark horse though. My favourite driver is Jacques Villeneauve and he is making a comeback with Sauber so I'd like to see him make a few points finishes. I think he could be a title contender in a decent car, as he proved when he took out the championship in '97.
This season hopefully will be the closest in years, next season should be even better with stricter rules bringing the teams closer. As of 06 season they'll all be running V8's. (No V10's!!)
I LOVE F1, probably more than Supercars to be honest.... I'll get flamed for that!

I also hear that Mika Hakkinen might be making a come-back
Yes Please!!!
Geez that'd make things interesting if he comes back with a decent team.
I heard that Williams might be interested.

can't be bothered reading most of that...
but in regards to ferarri's new car........
i remember reading something bout it so here goes:
they usually only run a revised car for the first half of the season. that way they know that the car they've got at the begining is going to be reliable with no gremlins that a whole new car can be full of.
half way through the season development and testing on the all new car is usually finished and they roll it out then... use it for half a season, and the first half of the next.
its like they run on the financial year, while everyone else uses the calander year

Nope, it's going too be put out at Melborune at the debut.
Ok, they will have a new car for the AGP, but it will be the 2004M, an updated version of last years car, to take full advantage of and adhere to the new rules... they'll still release the all new 2005 car after the first 4 races (as per usual)
