Was thinking would it be possible to bore out a standard 65mm v8 throttle body to, say 70mm and would it be worth it. If you took 2.5mm off each side that would be 5mm all up (smart aint i ) Do you's think this would be a worthwhile mod, bearing in mind I can get a machinest at work to do it on the lathe and i have a mate who is a sheetmetal worker who could make up a new butterfly.

I looked into doing this but got turned off because of the butterfly, if you look at either edge they aren't square.. so cutting (or punching) out a round coin ain't gunna do the job.

But if your sheet metal mate can pull that one off then go for gold

i have had a go at making my 60mm v6 to 70mm and the only trouble has been mucking around with the butterfly..still havent got it perfect after 3 attempts
