Must have been taken by a different crowd to the one thats been doing the Tuesday night thefts over the last few weeks. And the fact it wasnt dumped in Battery Point. Not the kind of car they would target either. Car thefts are on the rise people so watch out!!

Whys that?

My back doctors son had his XE Ford stolen from Howrah and was found burnt out in Rokeby, was on a tuesday or thursday night.

Also one of my clients had his 84 Laser Stolen from Howrah Heights and found burnt out in the upper class section next to Claredon Vale. That was a middle of the week job. Just because it's not dumped in the same location doesn't mean that it's different people have done it. You're not going to continuely dump cars in one spot, thats just asking for trouble (if they did, maybe we'd catch the s**t stains more often?)

The "dumped in Battery Point" thing has been happening for atleast 18 months, so it's nothing new there.

Car thefts ain't on the rise, they have always been on the same level, reportings of them may have gone up. One of my mates who polices in Launceston said to me on Easter weekend that he was surprised how many cars were stolen, as the amount they find burnt out/stripped far out-weighs reports.

I haven't (touch wood) had it happen to me, but on many occasions they have tried.

Still, very sorry to hear about that mate, if it happened to me I'd cry I think. If push comes to shove a chain around the seat/steering wheel works wonders :)

 That just pisses me to see that.
I feel sorry to the bloke who owned that vehicle, they are nothing but tiny mindless, thievinig, light fingered, ferralistic, f...ing maggotts, and I know what they deserve, it's not legal, small and travels at high speed. TOTAL BASTARDS
