hi all...

the rack in my vr is umm, not good, to put it nicely :P

are they interchangeable with any other model? the price i got told for a reco was very frightening :o

For memory I paid around $450 for an exchange one for mine, going back 3 or so years ago now... I really couldn't tell you if they were the same between models, but certainly on the VN's they were the same between V6 and V8.

Send a PM to either Pitbull or Xlr8ta on these forums, they might be able to have a look at the listings they have on their systems at motors and tell you if they have the same rack between VN - VS :)

AHHH, THREAD DIGGING... DONT YA LOVE IT :P

Ok, I live in Melb'n now, and the prices here are much the same as what i got quoted down home. Roughly 350-450.

BUT, my old man knows a bloke, who does reco change over, for get this $165 :)

so guess what i did today :lol: NO MORE CLUNKING !!!

^^^ Hell yeah, now i can get the wheel alignment done and finally put VT SS rims back on the front (was chopping tyres like they were going out of fashion, and was way to dear to keep replacing) and the ute will look 'normal' again :lol:
