thats right ^^^^ oh and no, ya cant have them not on a car. They need to be on a vehicle as far as im aware. Check www.transport.tas.gov.au for details.

Can't rememeber the initial cost but think it was around the $300 dollar mark and it's $100 a year after that...

Actually I dunno, my bill for the RMBL plates are due some time in the near future so will know for sure when I get them I guess.

It's different set up for fully custom and just half a*sed custom plates, but the on going cost is roughly the same for memory.

whats this half a*sed buisness!!... selected number plates are $150 and $50 a year after that... thats for 2 letters and 4 numbers or 3 and 3...

Yep, exactly..

You are limited to using so many spaces, numbers, letters and colours. For example Mel got DVL 666 costed near on half what it costed for V8RMBL.

It musn't cost them too much to change the press to suit it that way or something. :unsure:

at the time of buying my plates it was $310 for personalised plates with a yearly fee of $55 and $110 for other plates with no extra fee yearly

yep mine cost $150 up front and a extra $50 each year, but i will never own them, and cannot be sold on the car ,

The site you'll need to check, to see if the plates you want are available, or are already in use, is http://www.transport...gov.au/regstat/.
My plates are only semi-custom, and they were $110 upfront, then it's an additional $55 each year you own them. Someone said you cannot sell them with the car - this is incorrect. You can sell them with the car as you can transfer the ownership of the plates into the buyers name by calling Service Tasmania.
