Choices:

1988 5spd VN Commodore;
Klms; 320 thou
Motor Condition; Not bad, keeps missin' something in it though, dunno what. Needs new spark plugs (there doing that an re-test driving it tomorrow). Oil leaks on the sump and under near gear box is dirty/greasy. Has slight tap sound around the timing belt. Few minor things that I think could be fixed easy
Color; White.
Exterior Condition; No real dents, but few stone chips ect, ya know, what do you expect from a 15 year old car?
Interior; Imac
Stereo; Casette
Reg; 4th month next year
Price; $2990 down to $2500

1993 Auto VR Commodore;
Klms; 300 thou
Motor Condition; Pretty good, bit greasy under neath and oil leak around the a*s end dripping onto manifold when running, other than that it's allright. But does need the breaks fixing.
Color; Red
Exterior Condition; Good
Interior; Imac
Stereo; Casette
Reg; None
Price; $3990 down to $3200 as it sits.

When it comes down to it, it's just what I feel I'll be more happy with. But I'll grab some of your opinions.

This is the first 5spd vn I've seen for sale for under 4.5k in umm, monthes.

I get excited when I see cars I like and just think *I want I want I want*. I meen, 300 odd klms isn't to bad if well maintained.

I'll see what happens. Gotta wait to see what it's like with new spark plugs in it.

They both sound like they are a little tired in the driveline department. 300 000km is a fair few km's for a rattly old V6. I'd definately wait and not buy the first thing you looked at.

I do know of an absolutely immaculate VN 5 speed with a Group A grille and maybe bumper I think. A mate of mine has it and he is the biggest perfectionist you'll find. Its a little bit more than you want to spend but I can guarentee you won't have to spend a cent on it. PM me for details if you are interested.

Was planning on this as my project car (now sold the VK) so things like suspention/re-build motor maybe new motor/paint job/ect are all on the cards, car wouldn't be left stock. Kinda why I wanted to find a cheap 5spd.
