Hey Guys,

As ya know, my car is being picked up in a week or so. Only problem is, I havnt been able to get stuck into a few things in it so I now i ogtta pick u pthe pace so its ready. Need to replace the roof lining for one. Dewar works for Matthews Constructions so he's getting me a piece of MDF for it, and i'll go get a bit of fabric for it. Now, i have no idea how to go about removing and putting it back in.. is there anyone up here that can help me out with his from up the NW area at all? I'll pay ya for helpin me out, just can't for a couple of weeks, but have to have the roof lining done ASAP!

Also, need to spray the interior pieces again, this time properly with a spray-gun, not paint-in-a-can so it looks good - saw Jays the other week, looks great. :) If someone can help me out here it'd also be appreciated. Im not sure if its easier for me to buy some second hand dash parts off Sarge or something and have those sprayed (the centre console, glovebox etc.. all the stuff i have done now) or is it just as easy (and less work) to use the ones I have? Again if someone's keen and is available to do this in the next week or so, itd be much appreciated and I can buy the paint etc, but cant pay ya for doing it til my next pay.

Last but not least, I'm buying a set of standard springs from Sarge this week, as I need them in for the RWC (I promised the guy it was RWC - it was when i got it and still is cept for the springs). Anyone know how difficult its going to be to fit standard springs back under it after having the chopped ones in there? Someone mentioned it'd be difficult and a bit of stuffin about..

Anyway, any help you might be able to offer please let me know here or via PM. Thanks guys :)

- Col

Do you get SC mag Col? there was an article in there on how to remove and replace VN-VS headlinning. I have it the issue, somewhere.

For painting plastic intreior bits, you need to get plastic primer, and the stuff in a can is easy to paint with, just ppl rush things :P.

I can help but.... everyone knows, can't drive yet

nah seriously, the paint in a can looks nothing like it should in mine, and that wasnt really rushed. Looked ok while it was wet :P And had primer, wax and grease remover, paint, clear coat etc etc last time. Everything i needed. Spray gun = much better result. Dont have time to decide which anyway though mate, just need something done, and cant afford (time or cash wise) any mistakes lol. You can definitely do em? How long would it take ya to do what I currently have done?

I just got some spray adhesive to glue mine over the exsiting roof, had no problems with it yet, don't be skimpy with the glue you use too, cause they have a tendancy of sagging

If it were me in your position, I'd be talking to Grumpy and Sarge and get some second hand parts send down to be sprayed ;)

Unlike hookin a grinder into the spring and fishing out the cut off piece, to fit new front springs you will need to take the strut out. I'd suggest you sweet talk Daz and Treloar. I've seen them using a hoist somewhere to work their cars, they may have access to a good work shop, makes the job so much more easier ;)

Thanks for the advice Goughy, always appreciated mate. Only thing with the roof lining, is i have to replace the whole thing as because i have a minor leak @ top of window the cardboard s**t has even become warped up the front. Crazy. :)

That would be the easiest fix rather than re-creating the whole thing again
