In this shot I figured I'd show the none the wiser the difference between the stong stuff and the weak stuff...lol, they both have technical names, I'm sure if I could be bothered negotiating Google I'd find out. But basically the drill is, the stuff on the left is easy to work with but is weaker and the stuff on the right is a bitch to work the resin through but tough as nails...

So now working from the other side of the engine bay I've worked my way back to the centre towards the previously layed fibreglass.

Slowly working away back across the engine bay, as I mentioned before, this matting is way harder to work the resin through, so it's taken a little longer to progress through these than I first thought.

dave i even wear gloves like that (doctors gloves) at work...
the benifits far outweigh being called a girl for not wanting to get your hands dirty...
you finish a job, take off the gloves and away you go.... you don't need to scrub at your hands for ages and ages before you can do the paperwork or drive the car

looking good so far though...
how about painting it blue, like the blue of your interior, and then airbrush orange flames onto it.... that would look nice.... (just building on jess's idea)

or how bout orange flames on a blue background with blue ghosted flames behind the orange flames....

Well this is as far as I got this evening, basically I'm at the stage where I can think about trying to prise it out of the mould once it's all set... fingers crossed

Yeah gloves are definetly the way to go hey!!

Blue with orange flames... you got me thinking now <_<

Dunno if my painting skills are going to be trick enough to get flames on there, but certainly Blue is looking on the cards with a feature of some description :)

Well I got it out of the engine bay, and yes it was all in one piece, although I did hear a crack on the drivers side... <_<

So once again, out with the fibreglass, I figured I'd go over the area where I heard the crack just for safety sake.

If it don't cook the engine it's permanant, if it's gunna start causing issues with the engine then it's only temp.

But in the long run it's temp any way, come Xmas time when I have Holidays the mota is coming out and the inlet manifold is changing again, so this one will be up for grabs, comes with engine bay cover ;)

Ever had one of those days where you should not do stuff?? I had one today.. read on ;)

Intake pipes, well I needed to find some plumbing fitting that where about the same out side diameter as the mouth of the throttle body.. damn handy having a bro in law in the building industry ;)
