Well actually the motor and box are pretty solid, got a bit of a tick to it again after we took it into Launceston so i'll be replacing the oil and filter probably this weekend. Pretty much the same car, even the Mrs has started driving it again.

Great to see you got it back, must of been a horrible experiance! As for the drive line they are reasonably bullet proof,(no comments needed on my breakages thanks) i dont know the history as in is it tuned is it cammed etc etc, only reason i ask is parametres would still be set to protect, also they throw warning codes i have the software to check it out if you want, no strings/$$$ attached be happy to help out ..

Thanks mate thats really nice of you. I might take you up on it.
The car is basically as stock as they come, with the adition of the exhaust and eagle leads, it seems like the same car mechanically, aside from the front pads seem to be scaping. I'll replace them if it continues or if it doesn't sell.

Wow, that's the only good-news story I've heard of AAMI in about 3 years!

Is it still for sale, or have you decided to keep it for a while?

Well i guess thats something, i can't really complain about them.
Yeah she's still for sale, obviously as has been said the pads might need replacing if your picky like me and the oil/filter.
I have it for sale in the paper for 10.5 but i'll drop it to 9.5k purely so it's out of my life.

Cheers guys, Mike

Well it's either sell the SS or the Galant.
So i'll advertise both untill one sells. Thats life though i guess.

Mike I had a commodore stolen many moons ago and that feeling you get just kicks you in the guts, I also got it back but it had been flogged severely and the rear tyres (and many other things) were stuffed from all the fun they must have had but then the cops booked me for bald tyres, what the F#ck...anyway I fixed her up and kept her for many more good years.

Thought I would share that useless bit of info with you…

Unlucky about your car being flogged and not being, well... the same but alas you made good out of it, i could possibly do the same.
Freshen her up a touch... Make's a better family car than a VR4 i have to say Lol
