That does suck the big one

But im with vtclubby on this, no one test drives my cars without me in it
Most ppl that are looking to buy have no problem that
The ones that do, dont get to test drive it. Simple as that.

Hopefully it turns up ok mate

Does insurance cover you for that sort of theft?

they are doing similar things on the mainland, you drive them for a while then let them have a drive, when you get out they jump over to the drivers seat and leave you behind. not goodPosted Image

ah glad to see its been found and yeah i read the situation of how it happened on facebook.

and no. i dont just mean me in the car, me in the car and their license in my hand. as soon as test drive is over and keys back in my hand they get license back.
ive heard of way to many cars stolen during test drives. even people on mainland having fake police cars pull over the vehicle and ask the occupants to get out of the car. then the "test driver" gets back in the car and drives off and so does the "cop"

Yeah guys, cars been found in decent to good condition.
Body work hasn't been damaged, it's dirty but thats what happens when you do skids on the grass.
Because i like you guys i'll tell you the story...
AS has been said, i was taking them for a test drive and they fooled me into thinking there was a fault (exhaust) with the car, so i gets out to check the fault, with this bloke in particular, as it was in the exhaust i had to get down on the ground to see it, as i did this, he jumped into the drivers seat and took off before i had any chance of opening any of the doors.
By all acounts, from George Town its gone to hobart, and back up here to epping forrest. These little shits can run, but they cant hide.
Anyway, the Police spot the car at epping forrst truck stop there, suss the car out, and it takes off. They chase it down, take the guy into custody.

Im telling you all this because i thought they'd take the car and go into hiding. . . this obviously wasn't the case. So if a car is stolen in future, dont stop looking for it. Im not saying travel to hobart or anything, but with the help i recieved from everyone all over the state just because of the internet, primarily facebook, i was able to know where my car was, even before the police did.

It's incredibly lucky i got the car back and i'd just like to thank everyone that actually helped out in whichever way they did. It's really good to know decent people are still out there.
So thanks HEAPS everyone. This one, we'll call a win...
Oh and they cought 5 people in the two stolen cars so im told. They got the white VT SS aswell... But we'll see how long it stops them for.

Cheers, Mike

You saw our cars then... the red one was mine.
The white one looked like a VX is an SS with body kit and VY SS wheels.

They're both impounded atm.
I'd like to say i'd hurt them if i saw them again. But i can't say that because i still need there names. :)

They were targeted off gumtree also.
