I want to buy some VE SS rims off a mate but am not too sure what costs are involved in machining them to fit my VY. Has anyone does this in Tassie? What machine shops do it for a fair price???

Any help at all would be awesome.

Thanks

Brenny got some ve ss wheels on his vx and only had to grind out the extra lip on the inside and they fitted straight on

Do them properly in a lathe because the hub centre is there for centralising the rim. You need to run VZ wheel nuts too. Any engineering place with a big lathe could do it

rang him sl/enut, he had no idea what i was talking about so i didnt bother wasting my time explaining it to him lol. quickly i thought about doing it myself but then thought better of it. i rang Marshall Eng here in East Dev and he said to bring one in and he'll have a look, he thought id would be an easy job. still havent heard of anyone in tassie actually doing it. hey Ryan, why the VZ nuts mate? something to do with the rims right? how do they differ from VY nuts?

cheers guys.

VY nuts may work Darren. I just remember reading something about needing the VZ nuts as the VE runs a larger diameter stud and the VZ nut has a bigger diameter taper on it than the earlier ones
