Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on wether or not it's ok to run FE2 shocks with Kings super low springs on a VT??

Also how low will it be, anybody had issues with scrubbing with SL's??

if ya gunna run super lows ya better off paying the little bit extra for the shorten shocks. you shouldn't have an issue with scrubbing, but if ya gunna run SL or lower in the rear i suggest you put a camber and toe kit in the a*s end cause if not you will wear out the insides of the tyres quicker.

Ok, after searching heaps of other forums it looks like I'll be leavin the FE2 shocks in for now, if they're s**t with the lowered springs I'll save my pennies for some good adjustable jobbies.

I had a glance under it the other day and it looks to me like it already has a camber kit (which just consists of the rear lower control arm bushes with offset bolt hole yeah??)

Camber kits come in both 4 and 2 point kits, IMO the 2 point is pointless as you cant get all the camber out when you lower the car, I have lovells sedan sportlows in the rear (which are basically the same in a wagon as superlows) and I only just have enough adjustment to knock most of it out, and even then there is still a bit og negative camber.

Shocky wise, you can get KYB excel-g (nitrogen filled) shortened shocks for around $450 for all 4 corners if you know where to shop, if your car is older than 10 years guaranteed the old shockies are stuffed. I've done all the ins and outs on vt suspension to make mine stick so got a reasonable idea of whats going on ;)

and king springs have a kit out theses days that come with munroe gt sports shocks that cost 660 for complete kit off eBay. that's what i got for my vs and put them in my self.
like what getraggy said ya better off getting the 4way (camber and toe) kit so that who ever you get to adjust the camber and that can do it right the first time. but if you indout ask someone a specialist in suspension

I have seen those kits, the reason I say KYB Excel G's is that FE2 shocks are better than normal shockies, so buying that kit you are actually putting lesser shockies in, which I dont think is good cause theres no point in spening $300 on shockies that are not going to be any better.
