i have a hsv enhanced 5L after i got the exhuast done the engine warning light stays on. done the code check twice and it says syster ok. . i have replaced the o2 sensor with a new one and it still stays on... and when i was under the car i noticed this plug cable tied up and its neve been there brfore! i traced the wire beck and it goes in to the harness there the fuse box is and we carnt find any thing under there that is missing a plug and i think thats why the engine warning light stays on.

Looks like knock sensor to me too, should be up near the engine mount somewhere, suspect it's the round thing in the top of your pic?

hey mate to me looks like a oxy sensor plug some models had twin oxy sensors to tell whiv=ch side was leaning out. if they replaced it with a single oxy sensor system it will throw the engine light.
just a thought

na its definately a knock sensor plug... seen thousands of them b4. they are only a single wire plug, o2 sensor have up to 6 wires coming out,
but this model car would have at least three wires.

no doubt about it, plugs in at the bottom of the block, near the engine mount.

should be one on both sides.
