You'd think the local dealer would have them or could get them. They obviously have to take the wheels off for brake checks etc at service intervals???

get a 3/4 or 19mm socket, and belt it onto the locknut, till its tight as, then try and undo. Unfortunately with so many diff types of locknuts, getting a new key is just about impossible

I'm not guru on this, but wouldn't the design of hsv lock nuts get pretty repetitive? Maybe try some of the higher level holden centres on the mainland?

What Murph said, thats what a tyre/wheel outlet will do. Then buy a new set, bout $35.

Lock nuts are like lock cylinders, coded to suit a specific key/locknut tool.

tighten all the nuts on the wheel as tight as you can and then undo the locknut first?

Never heard anything about them.

After a quick google, tread pattern looks interesting.

yeah those reviews dont look too good. plus "most fitted too" subaru impreza......
guy i was talking to at beaurepairs who helped a fair bit with the locknuts suggested them. $170 each and he said they are excellent and he has them on his car.
but knowing salesmen that could just be the oldest line in the book.

oh well can only hope they are alright. if not ill know better for next time
