Members, Club Friends and Associates,

Today I have officially resigned to the committee, my position of President of The Commodore Club of Tasmania Inc.

This has been an extremely tough decision for me to make, however I believe that I can no longer serve the Club in this main role. This is due to a variety of reasons, including the financial change of buying our own home, and a new job which requires a lot more of my time than I expected.

Being involved in the club has been a massive part of my life for the past 6 years, and I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to help start such an amazing club, including meeting some great people (many who I now consider family), and help bring events to the car community here in Tassie which would never have happened if not for the club.

I would like to extend a huge, massive, heart felt thank you to all current and past club members - you've all been fantastic supporters over the years.

In particular, I would like to thank every person who has taken on board a position on the committee, be it for a short time or the long haul - you guys and girls have done such great jobs, no-one really realises how huge it is to take on board these voluntary positions, including putting up with plenty of crap! You all did it so well, so thank you.

Without members and committee people there is no club, and its because of each and every one of you that this club has acheived so much over the years.

So again I would like to thank everyone for their efforts and support - now its time for someone else to take up the reins, and no doubt make the club better than ever before.

I still plan to be an active member of the club, so you haven't quite gotten rid of me yet - no doubt I'll see you all around in the near future :)

Cheers,
Jess

Well done on the top job you have done. And the many hours of time and the effort that you have put in. Without you pushing so hard to get the club started in the first place (among others) i doubt it would of evn got off the ground. So well done Jess

Id like to thank Jess for all her hard work and dedication over the past 6 years.

This club helped me through a tough time in my life and Jess was a major part of that.

ill keep it short and sweet as Jess and others that i know from here know how much she means to us.

Cheers Dude.

Ill be stepping up into a unnofficial president role as mentioned in other threads on the forum.

Like many others, I'd like to say a huge thanks to Jess for all her hard work over the years. Looking back at the achievements that this club has in it's portfolio under Jess's guide, we've done some cool stuff.

Silverdome Show
Multiple Drag days
Multiple Dyno days
The Great Race in Launy
Sydney trip to C4C
Then bringing C4C to Tasmania
Shannons Show and shine
Not to mention all the cruises and after parties.

Good times :)

I don't think people realize the hard work that goes into organising a lot of these events, not until you've put the time and effort into organising something and seeing it go ahead well or turn to s**t do you realize the enjoyment or sheer frustration that being in a position that Jess has held for so long can offer. I commend Jess for sticking at it for all these years while many of us have thrown our hands in the air and given the situation the big FU.
It'll be good to see Jess at an event not running around trying to be in a million places at once and I look forward to talking to that Jess some of us met back in Riverside in ummm back in 2003/2004 :)

Thanks Jess for putting up with all the crap, and introducing me to the club! And the hard work you have tirelessly put in...what more can I say that hasnt already been said?

Sorry to see Jess :( but can understand why.

As the others have said you have done alot for the club (even in the short time I've been around)

thanks for your dedication :)
