Im getting a lot of different answers for this so i thought i would give it a lash on here. I know with the series 1 v6 it came with 2 different bolt patterns on the crank 1 for flex plate 1 for flywheel, would anyone know if this is the same with the series 2 motor? or can u bolt a flywheel up to an auto motor
cheers

you would have to have a look. i know its 5 bolt for auto and 6 bolt for manual (or vice versa) for the series one engine.
pretty sure you can bolt a flex plate from a series 1 motor onto a series 2 motor but i definately know you cant bolt a series one flywheel onto a series 2 motor
Series one
5 bolt crank for auto
6 bolt crank for manual
series 2
5 bolt crank for both
Please correct me if im wrong

series 1 motor manual had a 6 bolt flywheel and the auto had the 8 bolt flex plate same as series 2 motors
u carn't get a serie 1 flywheel redrilled to suit a series2 as they have a different offset
i have convereted a few vr's to manual and used series 2 conversion vn/vp
as for the wiring i used a series 2 vn/vp engine loom and then had to run a few extra wires but everything worked as it was ment too
