Depends if you want to keep the Delco or not... Not many people in the state seem keen to re-program the delco, they just want to sell you a complete computer to run the car.

If your interested in running the Delco then your looking at using Kalmaker and unfortunately no one with a workshop in the state want to know about tuning with it (mainly cause it's time consuming).

The above mentioned businesses certainly have the runs on the boards and are capable of tuning your car but it will be with Haltech or similar computer. Short of finding someone with some Kalmaker knowledge (there is a frequent on this forum that has the know how to tune it) and getting some Dyno time your sorta forced into aftermarket territory.

I feared that would be the case cause I do want to run with the delco as I believe its up to the task.Who is the person on the forum who knows how to use the Kalmaker software.

I work at fueltech.
We have done lots with the 5.0 engines.
If you are after an easy way of tuning i would recomend you go for a Haltech e6gmx as they just plug in with no wiring mods at all.

If money is not an issue the Vipec V88 is awesome but is a wire in job.

Just as an example, i had a 383 stroker which ran 10.94 N/A on pump fuel
I then done a 383 stroker with a vortech V7 and ran 9.90 still on pump fuel. The car was a street car with no drag car setup at all and still had full exhaust with 4 mufflers. These times where done with the haltech E6GMX which is still in the car now which i have for sale with a worked 5.0.

Pm me if you want to talk about getting a tune done.
Dave

Question was for who can tune the standard Holden ecu/pcm (Delco)...

Can't say i know any tuning shops in Tassie with the software to tune the delco & when i've enquired time & time again - everybody just replaces it with an aftermarket ecu !

If your running a vr/vs Automatic or vs s3 / vt s1 - aftermarket will have to be piggy back style installation !!!
I'd choose Delco over Haltech any day of the week....

No drag car setup - how bout manualised auto, 4000rpm stall, cage, tubbed, cabin mounted pots to adjust timing & fuel on the fly...
Sounds kinda like... maybe just a little bit of a drag car setup....

Maybe... ;)

How is that a drag setup?
My mum could drive a car with all these things in them to the shops and back everyday.
Just because there manulised does not make them a drag car, just means i can hold anygear i want without it changing itself.

I know of plenty cars that run all this and more and drive better than standard

as for the cage and stuff, it has to happen when you run the times i did. Or dont race as you wont be allowed back.
