I heard that one of the pollies wants to crush hoon cars, i think it was Will Hodgman. Anyone know anymore? I doubt it would happen to me but i wouldnt want them to be able to either.
I guess i wont be voting for him.

But the Liberals did promise a bit over 200k in funding and another 200somethingk as a an interest free loan to the TRDA though. Maybe they are trying to give "hoons" some incentive to take their cars to the track instead of racing on the streets

Well that's rooted things up... I was going to Avoid Labor cause they have made such a mess, but if Liberal want to start crushing cars for this so called hoon law that allows police suspect your doing something wrong then they lost my vote and I refuse to vote for the tree hugging hippies.. Dammit! Will, why did you open your mouth, you had it in the bag on my account!

well atm im thinking liberal.
they are offering money to help the dragway.
they are planning the highway expandsion.

- is that they are also wanting to crush hoons cars....
but thats for the 4th offense.
1st offence lose car for 1 week
second lose for a month
third lose for 3 months
fourth car is crushed.

for each offense you go to the court and can receive
$1000 fine
3 months jail
2 years no license.
up to the judge what he gives ya. could be all three or 2 or 1 or half of each or whatever.

only difference to current system is that on fourth offense police keep the car and then sell it. they dont crush it but you dont get it back.

i have asked a couple of the labor members to see if the labor team has any plans to match the liberals pledge for the dragway but no reply yet

I hate politics, and I hate voting time  They never seem to do the things they'll say they do, I honestly think one pollie is no better than the next.

They may say they'll spend money on the drags, but then it wont happen because someone wont agree or because of something with a budget... just because they say they want to do something, never means it'll eventually happen. I swear they only say these things to get votes!

I'll probably just end up voting for the female politicians out of principle

Yeah it's all a load of real bullcrap, like a bunch of fighting children really. I'll be voting greens mainly coz i don't want a pulp mill but also coz labor is corrupt, Lennon was a tosser and Bartlett ain't much better, the way they slag the greens off as soon as they look like getting a few votes is pathetic and Nic McKim did something NO other pollie could ever had the guts to do the other day - bunch of Forestry workers protesting outside his office and he went out n asked why, they said they were scared of losin their jobs so he stood there and explained he's not tryin to cut jobs in the industry, just make it more viable and eco friendly, they all walked away happy with his reply apparently. So yeah, I know they'll never get in but I hate Labor and Liberal more. Lol.

Voting Green is just silly. The greens would stop all logging if they had their way. They want no poker machines at all in Tasmania. Just those two things alone would cripple our economy and see how many thousands of jobs leave the state.

Don't give them too much power. Whoever has to form a government with them will be forced to negotiate with them to get any form of legislation through and we'll basically have a government that can't do diddly squat without making concessions to green extremists.
