Just build a 4.2 super six and line it up against one of the V8 boys and see how you go.

Who cares about economy when your chasing performance???

hi guys i started this thread since ive had my super 6 uhh ive spent about 2k on it already 10 psi boost exhaust and extractors. and my dad jsut borught his 03 cv8r monaro he jsut had it tuned and an induction system put on it at yeah down the high way i can pull 120 faster than what he can is.
i simpy say that this is because a super6 is a totally different power compard to a standard 6 or a 8 because of the simple fact of the supercharger.
Because of the supercharger i am running the same torque as his tuned 8 thats right a v6 running the same torque but he doesnt get his max torque until about 3,500 rpm i get mine at roughly 1,500 or 2,000 rpm. i say its not horses that win the quater its the torque....

Hmmmm....to my calculations....304+blower=Power and blower whine at a cheaper price....and a heap of fun

kewl guys ummm my car is getting some work done to it at the end of january its getting fully adjustable koni suspension all round, hsv brake upgrade kit installed, piggy back computer,F.I.T's New race style race intercooler and a 17 psi pulley kit.

the super6 comes with upgraded pistons, cams fuel pump and injectors that i know of so far
the fuel pump can apparenlty handle 300 kw at the fly.

will post a dyno after its done after it is done i will have roughly spent 3k on engine mods(intercooler and pulley kit)
estimated to be running 250-260 rwkw by F.I.T
this si a total of 5k spent on engine mods. bing my total car cost to 23,000 brought the car for 18,000
blah blah balh spending 10k on suspension brakes and ecu upgrades.

^^^ go for it man i have been reading this thread and who cares what anyone else thinks...

its your car just do it.

the L67 is a tuff little motor. so what if it costs a bit to get descent grunt, its gonna be different to what every other tom, dick, and harry has!!!!
even the lsx boys cant sneeze at 300 rwkw, even if it is a six.

they can be a rocket ship for a street car and great fun to drive.

they get a great sound when getting good boost as most on here could tell ya from what mine sounds like.

but on another note i hope u know a good tuner coz once you start getting up in the boost u basically have to run it on ultimate (98+) and i can tell you first hand a highly modded L67 does use petrol!!!!

im partial to a v8 i love the sound and all things to go with it.

but i also like my L67 with the manual box behind it. its different a turns heads everywhere i go,

and if it doesnt sell by the time the coupe is finished it will be getting a total overhaul,
with 21psi upgrade, 5%overdrive balancer, W2A race cooler setup, 4.2 stroker, 1.98:1 rockers, ported blower and heads, and been contemplating going back to auto with a 2800 stall and different ratio diff gears.
and prob. a external facelift.

actually that is not correct... yes there is a drop in pressure... that always happend when you try to fill a larger pot with the same pump... but the stroked 6 when combined with the 17, 19 or 21 psi pulley produces massive torque and the factory eaton does it nice... i think the drop was 17psi pulley delivers around 15.0 on the stroked engine, so i assume the 21psi would make about 18psi, which is pretty good boost on a stroked 6 considering they make so much torque... As for heating the air up, that why you install the mace mega blizzear W2A intercooler with the thermal resistant body...

Mate you need to sit back and have a reality check. I'm the only person that has tried to give you advice in the last 2 pages and you attack me. I was simply trying to give you advice based on my experience, you tell me I'm not correct and then confirm everything I've said in your own post.

Carry on listening to the sound of your own voice, because clearly it is the only one you listen to.

if you want to have a read about some proper v6 builds without the old dont bother with a v6 bull s**t get on l67torque.com there are some great builds on the including jenkos turbo vp that went 10.3 @ 134mph on stock l67 bottom end and the whole car only owes him about 8.5k, jetv6 has 513kw and went 9.5 @ 146mph that is with the cast stroker crank that snapped he is now building a stronger motor. there are plenty of l67s running 11s without gas and with the stock blower and bottom end just the right cam and intercooler. mine has gone 13.54 @101mph with less than $1400 spent on it and on the stock tune, stock diff gears, stock stall, stock cam and on interceptor rims with 205 wide tyres. so theres more there. dont waste your time on stroker kits there is plenty more to do be for going that far.
